Being essentially on holiday, I have found myself doing a lot of things in Canada that normally just wouldn’t be a part of my life in New Zealand.

Generally speaking I’ve been getting a lot more exercise than previously by walking and biking all over the city (no car you see), I’ve been going and doing decent hikes of 4 hours plus at least once every three weeks and I’ve also been drinking a lot more alcohol too to take just three examples.

All of these can be attributed to still being in a tourist mindset and as such, walking around this amazing city with ‘tourist goggles’ on as I like to call it – getting out to a…

Welcome to 2010 everyone! I’m sure most of you are on holiday or actually trying to avoid getting on the computer (it’s a beautiful day out there in Auckland at least).

There will be some of you, undoubtedly who are feeling a little sorry for themselves after indulging a little (or a lot) too heavily in the ’spirit’ of the celebrations last night (I would normally probably be one of those people, however the fact that I am not keen to feed my two and half month old son booze via breast milk saw me drink just three drinks over the course of six hours).

Hopefully even if you read this post in retrospect when you get back to work,…

I’ve had a big week. Have been working on a launch since late August, and working my booty off. Some days it’s been like mortal combat on the work front. Some days I’ve spent 75% of my day inside meeting rooms, only to come out to about 55 emails which need actioning, meaning I don’t get home til really late at night, absolutely exhausted, only to have to do it all over again the next day. Some days I’ve had all of this, and several big hypos to boot, just to make things extra tricky.

However – my big launch happened on Thursday. Hurrah!! We cracked open the first bottle of bubbly at 2pm. Then, conveniently it was my work…
