2. Diabetes Awareness Week – 16th to 22nd November.Nationwide.

This year’s theme is “Know Your BGL, keep well”

3. BeingDiabetic Christmas dinner, 6:30pm, Monday 6 December. Auckland – venue tbc.

I was eating Mexican food last night  at Burritoville and ended up taking what I think is the biggest bolus I’ve ever had of 13 units! It got me wondering what the largest dose anyone has ever taken intentionally for food?

I didn’t mention this earlier because I didn’t want it to overshadow all the great work DYNZ did for the conference, but did you see this story about the ex President of DYNZ getting 3 years jail for defrauding the organisation? He has hurt so many people, and created doubt in the mind of would-be benefactors of any diabetes charities. A horrid situation.

Hi everyone

Well, I’m not sure how I’ve managed to keep posts coming over the last two weeks with a broken and rather painful wrist! Apologies for the brevity of posts, and gaps between them.

I had planned a September Spring hiatus before the injury anyway as we are moving house and likely to be without internet for a week or two.
