Sadly I was struck down with a vomiting bug overnight and missed the awesome sugar free, organic, lemon mint sorbet that Giapo was serving up today at lunch. Here is a picture of the ceremony which he kindly tweeted – looks awesome!!

It wasn’t until I was pregnant and had to avoid uncooked eggs that I realised how bad I am when I bake at  licking cake batter off my fingers. I’m fastidious about washing my hands frequently when baking or cooking though I’ll add!

As you can see from the pic on the right, I was baking up a storm last week as it was my son’s first birthday, and we had a party for him on Saturday (what you see isn’t even the half of it). Great news for those who live in Auckland and fancy a special sorbet treat!

I’ve been on Twitter today with the guy who runs Giapo gelato and sorbet shop by the Civic on Queen St. On Wed 20th at 1pm he is going to re-create his super low sugar mint sorbet for us all (he’s done it once before and reckons it was about 2% carbs only, barely made a dent in the T1’s sugars he trialled it with)
