Hi everyone.
Well, the finalists for the Netguide Web Awards have been announced here and I’m totally thrilled to share with you that BeingDiabetic is one of them!
We’re up against grownups.co.nz and healthyfood.co.nz which obviously have much bigger potential audiences than this site (There are only 17,000 T1s in the country; yet grownups attracts audiences of NZers 50years+ and healthyfood.co.nz appeals to anyone interested in cooking).
So, what I’m saying is – for a small diabetes community, we sure have a loud voice, managing to get BeingDiabetic into the final three. In fact, looking at all of the sites in the finals across all of the categories, I think BeingDiabetic is probably the smallest site of the lot. Yeeeeeah!

Congratulations Nic and well done its nothing less then you deserve. It may be a small diabetes community, but its one thats getting stronger and stronger. Keep up the great work.
