Happy Fridays people, and for our NZ readers, whooooop!! Long weekend on the horizon! If you have time on your weekend, please do spend ten mins writing an email in protest at the proposed cuts to the Manawatu diabetes service. I’ve not written mine yet and will be doing so today or tomorrow.
The next Auckland T1 dinner catch up is looming – this one is on Monday, 14 June. I need to make a booking in the next few days so please contact me if you’re interested in coming along. (Those of you who’ve been before will get an email from me too). Or, you can accept the open invite on Facebook, here.
And – on a final note, please send some love to our community member Ruthie for a top notch day today. Yesterday she had a complete T1 nightmare (about four failed cannula in a row, and an extremely high BG for several hours) followed by her car breaking down in rush hour on K Road. Ruthie, you deserve a brilliant day today and a faultless weekend!!
Happy long weekend peeps, be safe out there, and watch your speed. The police have publicly announced they’ll be busting people for anything over 4km above the speed limit. (Which sort of contradicts having a speed limit really, doesn’t it)
PS – one more thing – big love going out to new community member M, a T1 who is having her third baby in the next couple of weeks.
