I was into a bit of glam rock back in the 80s, when I was a kid. I remember “Unskinny Bop” from Poison, and remember rocking out to it in the car, going somewhere with Mum. Can’t say I’ve been following the reality show “Rock of Love” which stars the guy to the right, Bret Michaels though. For those of you not in the know, Michaels is both lead singer from the aforementioned band Poison, and a fellow T1 (he’s had it since he was a kid, apparently).
I see from stuff.co.nz on the weekend that this poor chap has just been admitted to hospital for a brain hemorrhage, but is in a stable condition. After all the talk of T1s being more susceptible to all sorts of things over the last week, I really hope this sort of thing is not one of them.
Anyway, back to Bret Michaels. He’s just raised a lot of money for “a diabetes charity” via a role on the Celebrity Apprentice in the States, so I hope good karma comes back to him and he makes a full and speedy recovery. All the best, Bret.

I used to love Poison when I was in high school, which made me very uncool at the time :p
I never even knew Bret Michaels was diabetic until I joined a diabetes website recently. I hope he gets better soon.
