I was having a think the other day doing some ‘positive re-framing’ (I hate that expression! It’s like, ‘moving forward’ and ‘at the end of the day’) and I was coming up with a list of things that I was grateful for.
Lots of things on the list obviously like my mates, family, having kept my job through the recession etc but I was also thinking how grateful I am to and for this blog.
Without wanting to sound over the top I truthfully think that Nic has done a amazing job bring this blog to life for us and then running it. It takes a certain kind of person to come up with the idea, actually do it and then consistently dedicate the hours of work and energy needed to keep it going along – I for one am very grateful for all of the work
My partner has also said the same thing. Getting supportive feedback, a cyber hug every now and again and being able to voice our opinions and support each other makes a huge difference to me and you, I’m sure.
Seeing how much support has come from it and how much better my diabetes has been both physically and mentally is something to be very thankful for so, on behalf of my other half, thanks Nic and thank you too guys!

P.S. Sorry about the duplicate posts guys, we’re looking into it!

Well thank you so much, Aaron and Andy! I’ve just got back from five days’ holiday and what a lovely post to come back to.
While we’re having a love-in I’d like to say a big thanks to you too Aaron for helping me keep the blog fresh and for keeping the home fires burning every time I’m away. You’re great.
And – we’re getting a great community going here now – keep up the comments and discussion, it’s excellent for all of us!

Good idea. Thanks to you both for a great blog, I always read it. It has really picked me up. I used to feel guilty about nearly everything – I like a few glasses of wine most weeks, sometimes eat ‘bad’ food and love Christmas food – cake, mince pies etc. Reading your blog made me feel normal. My specialist says I’m always beating myself up and need to relax a bit. Your blog has made a big difference. I’m not such a guilty diabetic anymore.

Thanks Alison – definitely don’t let the guilt creep in. I know what you mean though – the first time I met Aaron I’d been told he was a type 1 and was a little worried he’d be watching everything I ate and drank and judging me. That night we enjoyed ample drinks and finished off dinner with some lovely boiled sweet shop lollies – all guilt assuaged (safety in numbers!)
