I was stuck on the motor-way today going to Penrose for work and taking full advantage of the BBC world service on my AM radio (see this post if you just joined us) and I heard what must be the the next teaser for that BBC diabetes documentary.

Turns out that the doco is being presented by a BBC journalist posted in the states called Justin Webber whose son is a type one. It’s focused almost entirely on T1 and how it affects family life for him and his son and siblings, Mum and so on and looks seriously at all the day to day stuff. Awesome! If I wound back the clock by say, four years, a definition of a naughty week diabetes wise would be only to do a couple of blood prick tests IN THAT WHOLE WEEK. This would leave me feeling slightly naughty, but on the whole I’d figure I’d not had any serious hypos, nor got sick or been hospitalised, and most importantly my social life hadn’t been slowed down, so everybody wins, right?
