I recall seeing an episode of the West Wing where the President was going to claim he would find the cure for cancer in the next ten years as an election-winning device. President Obama has already won the election… and now he’s pulling out the big guns in a similar way (although not as big as claiming they will cure cancer in the next decade).

We all have our own quirks and habits and goodness knows that I have my fair share! Before I started working in advertising I worked for about 4 years with a couple of people that had autism and through that experience I came to realise how many things I did out of habit like:

having to make sure my keys are hung up at night
being quite ’specific’ about the blankets/sheets in bed
alphabetising our 500 CDs etc

Likewise, we all have our own symptoms and indicators for when we are high and low and we get really good at recognising them. So, the other night I was dreaming about getting my wedding invites sorted and a wedding cake made…

At the end of Feb I started telling you all about my journey in 2009 to find a pump infusion set which suited me.

So far I’ve tried the Orbit, the Cleo, the Accu-chek Flexlink and the Inset II.

The last couple of weeks I’ve tried the Accu-chek Flexlink (left, below) and the Inset II (right, below) and I have to say they have both become firm favourites for different reasons. Both are really reliable in terms of stickability but have different ratings based on price and convenience.

… when you go to the supermarket to do your weekly shop and cop an eyeful of rows and rows and rows of Easter eggs. It’s crazy! And if you go to The Warehouse it’s even crazier.

What do you guys normally do for Easter? I used to get sugar-free eggs every other year but had a bit of a disaster with a bunny which caused some pretty severe laxative effects in my teens so have given that up. I would normally sneak the odd small spotty caramel-filled one (you know the ones) in, or scoff a Creme egg when I’m low… this year I’ll probably have a couple and count the carbs.
