Scorched almondsI know I really shouldn’t (I would like to get rid of this baby weight sooner rather than later), but last night we had the Christmas tree lights on, my husband put on a Christmas record, and I was busy wrapping pressies – a complete Christmas scene apart from mulled wine, really. I’ve had a pack of scorched almonds in the cupboard for a few weeks, thinking they might make a good addition to someone’s present – and it seemed only right to open them up and have a couple last night.

Problem is, now the packet is open, and I’ve just had about eight of them for breakfast – naughty! Have just had to correct a 12.6. Oh well, tis the season, innit. Hail the mighty scorched almond!
