There are certain situations and places where you need to be as together as possible. One of those is at the airport. Another is the bank.
So, probably not a good idea today then for me to finish up a meeting, blunder outside, take blood sugar, discover I’m at 2.6, eat a handful of glucose then walk straight into a Bureau de Change. I can’t help myself… Always trying to be as efficient as possible, me. My husband and I are off to visit friends in Melbourne tomorrow and need some Aussie dollars, so why wouldn’t I?
There are many answers to that question.
1. I could barely string a sentence together.
2. The lady behind the counter was particularly chatty, and I’m sure most of my answers to her questions made very little sense.
3. Maths and figures are not my strong point at the best of times, particularly when hypo and my brain has switched off.
4. It’s simply not a good look to be shaking, pale and sweating when you approach the counter of a bank.
Wish me luck for the airport tomorrow!

Hey Nic
Hope you have a great time. Try and bring back some nice weather!
Good luck at the airport although I am sure it will be a breeze. We went to the UK last yr via Hong Kong and Majorca and the only trouble we had was at Manchester Airport.
Look forward to reading of your travels.
