Oh yes, Sarah, sushi is definitely on the list post partum - yum! and it is going to be such a relief to be having BGs which affect just me for a while and not the baby as well

Aaron - it went well thanks... No dramas re variety of non alcoholic drinks, even got an orange juice in to cover a low BG. The food was the expected minefield however with only a couple of small dishes meeting the criteria. I'm not gonna lie to you, there was a stop for food on the drive home!

Oh yeah, diabetes, pregnancy and cocktail parties is a hideous combination. Last time I was pregnant and at a wedding, I had to leave the venue and go down the road to find something I could eat - a stale cheese sandwich (all the chicken, salmon and ham ones were listeria territory.) The first thing I'm having after giving birth this time round is a big pack of sushi filled with raw fish - they actually encourage you to go a little high for a few days after.
