I was talking to a workmate yesterday and she mentioned this story of a woman in Illinois who had her toe bitten off by her dog. She didn’t feel it because of diabetes-related nerve damage. Awful – poor lady (although I can see why it’s made headlines around the world, who would ever guess such a thing would happen?).
